Well, no we don't quite undertand how we kept the wagon wheels on track for so long either, but it is true that anarchistwood early yawnings were uploaded to the internet archive by the one like candiflip blackwood on 22nd November 2005.
I have been totting up in my head how many people have passed through the band but it's looking like about 8 drummers, 9 bass players, 10 guitarists, a sprinkling of singers, several go-go dancers, a brush of brass, multi instrumental strings and things and even a noise uttering fella on strange computers…(something I for one would like to reinstall)… and a partridge in a pair of A-has!
You will be most entertained with the addition of the nebulous Rude Mechanicals, domineered by that equisite madam herself - Miss Roberts - to the party celebrating our Vicennalia. the Rudes go way back with anarchistwood and have enjoyed intertwined members over the many years. At this adventurous party, the current line up of anarchistwood will be joined by musicians with lapsed membership of the group playing songs that they have tried very hard to forget over the last few years - come see their grimaces! Once you've been in anarchistwood, you never really leave. One has to be really bad to be sacked from anarchistwood and candi did that to a very special few in the years before his demise. No, really… we are a conservative shrubbery.
anarchistwood are currently writing a new album and have no gigs booked in London until November. We do have a few secret festival appearances, which we shall announce shortly.
