The Queen Of Carnage, a dominatrix, surrounded yet alone, falls for a lowly male: in the making must there be a downfall?

Not an opera but with some opera, this live art adaptation of Purcell’s Dido & Aeneas interweaves the original score, libretto & narrative through soundscape, visual & installation art, performance, opera & digital imagery for both an immersive & seated audience experience.

Collaborating artistes Zoe Rixon, Emma Blackwood, Paul Blackwood, Amy Kingsmill and Gerry Black come together under the direction of performance artiste Sobriety Twist for a dark yet touching piece of work.
