So, what did punkvert do in 2007?

Punkvert have continued to work for Love Music Hate Racism VJing for acts such as Baybyshambles and Shane McGowan at Fabric

as well as Roll Deep and Dirty Pretty Things out in East London where the BNP have a stronghold...

punkvert had a residency for dear friends the Loves of Alabama 3, at their monthly event at Brixton Jamm known as Outlaw.

where they VJ'd for the Larry Love Showband, King Kurt, Pam Hogg, Robert Love and the Nihilistics, Gob$au$age, Kunt, The Haze, Special Benny, Hipster Ray, High Times, The Council and many many more bands., as well as the Alabama 3.

They also provided diverse burlesque entertainment with the likes of Scorpio Scorpio, Burly Q, Gypsy Love and Kunt as well as playing there with their own band Anarchistwood which debuted in October 2006 and has continued to play many events including the Cybersonica festival, Secret Garden Party and Whitechapel Art Gallery. They are now producing their first DIY album, due for release early next year.

punkvert had a lot of fun VJing at Spain's notorious Dragon Festival along with Miss Plunkett and her willing consort Honza - soon to be wed :) rock on sista! they also performed three nights there with Anarchistwood, headlining on Saturday night on the Live Music Stage (well it was a flatbed truck :)

Ben Osborne of Art of Noise have featured punkvert at several events across London over the last 6 month, often collaborating with other VJs such as Overlap and Ben Streble. A Sunday night residency at The Mother Bar for Ben has also come into shape which also features VJ KodeK.

Punkvert were the first VJs to perform at the beautiful new IndigO2 venue, part of the Dome complex in London, where they provided superb visuals for the five nights that Timbaland performed in London, with wonderful collaboration from VJ KodeK.

Punkvert graced the Edinburgh Festival this year, collaborating with Sobriety Twist in the experimental theatre piece Nocioception, for which they produced the film work and also the music, much of which was written specifically for the piece by Paul Blackwood. Nocioception plays again in Birmingham's Custard Factory for one night only September 17th, before it comes to London for a season later in the year and early 2008.

Punkvert's forage into the Death Row tragedy continues with their production of a sequel to Tales from the Treatment Rooms, which is due for release in early 2008. The Luis Ramirez Story recently won an award from the Hollywood Documentary Film Festival for it's art direction, by Paul Blackwood.

The film was once again shown at the Portobello Film Festival as the final edit and also shown continuously for a month at the Vilnius Extreme Craft Exhibition in Latvia. A screening in Cargo found a new audience again and the Death Row Art Show will feature both films as well as AV pieces that punkvert are making for 2008

Punkvert also showed their pop video Vagrant at pff this year

to a lot of happy people :) - they also continue to do their Radio Show when time permits, make art, love and children with their amazing family
